Digicel strikes sponsorship deal with BFA
Bermuda Football Association and Digicel have officially launched the new Digicel Premier Division 2011-2012 season.The announcement was made by BFA president, Larry Mussenden and Digicel CEO, Wayne Caines before Saturday’s Charity Cup match between North Village and Devonshire Cougars at BAA field.Digicel have sponsored the BFA’s top flight division to the tune of $100,000 of which $50,000 to be awarded to the top performing players in prizes at the end of the season.In addition, Digicel will also sponsor a Player of the month award whereby fans will have the opportunity to vote on line or via text message.Digicel customers will be able to sign up for SMS texting to receive the scores at half time and the final whistle from top flight leagues games.
