Covid-19 approved summer camps list available

Health officials have updated a list of summer camps approved for “Covid-19 compliance”.

The Ministry of Health list had 29 camps on it yesterday and 51 today.

Public schools finish for the summer break on June 29 and most private schools will start the holidays next week.

Parents were warned by health minister Kim Wilson on Monday not to send their children to unapproved camps.

The minister said: “Summer break is almost here and I want to encourage camp organisers to make sure and register your summer camp.

“All camp operators should complete the online camp registration form and follow the public health guidance on www.gov.bm/camp-guidance, where approved camps are listed.

“Parents and guardians should research camps carefully and send their children to approved camps only.”

Ms Wilson said approved camps were “assessed for Covid-19 compliance” by public health professionals and that unapproved camps risked closure.

The Government website has a list of approved camps updated on a weekly basis.

It said children who have travelled were not allowed to attend camps until they got a clear Day 8 test result.
