Amlin Bermuda Ltd., a reinsurance operation owned by Lloyd's insurer Amlin, has lured underwriter Richard Neame from XL Re. Mr. Neame will work as class underwriter, specialty lines, focusing on proportional and special risks, and will report to underwriting director, Rob Wyatt.

During his ten years with XL Re Bermuda, Richard developed expertise across multiple business lines, analysing and pricing various reinsurance structures, but with a particular focus on larger proportional contracts. At XL, he was vice-president of the Special Risks division.

Mr. Neame was based in London prior to 1997, initially with brokers CT Bowring Reinsurance and Greig Fester. He also spent one year as corporate development manager of Lloyd's managing agency, Venton Holdings Ltd.
