Bermuda-based Torus Insurance Holdings Ltd. has hired Marina Moore from XL Capital to be its senior offshore construction underwriter with immediate effect.

Reporting to David Message, senior vice-president Global Head of Offshore Energy, Ms. Moore will develop the team's offshore construction business. She is based in Torus' London office.

Ms Moore brings more than 30 years of London Market Offshore Construction experience to Torus, 25 of which were at Munich Re.

During this time she has worked on a number of major projects on a primarily lead position, involved in all aspects from underwriting, claims and wording development.
