An Island of world beaters
May 26, 2014
Dear Sir,
I am writing to commend the people of Bermuda for how they come out and support the runners in the Bermuda Day Half Marathon.
There is nowhere in the world that I can think of, that has that amount of cheering supporters for the whole 13 miles.
It has made such a huge difference to me, when I have struggled through the race, as I am more of a turtle than a hare.
This year I ran a relay for Hope Academy, (school for children with disabilities) and for the last leg we pushed three wonderful children from the school.
The crowd’s response to the children was amazing, but what was even more fantastic was to how much the children loved being cheered for and being part of such a great event.
So to all the supporters A BIG THANK YOU!
HOPE
