Jackson and Magnum win OBA deputy chairmen vote

A new duo this evening took over as deputy chairmen of the OBA.
MP Susan Jackson took 31 percent of the members’ vote to come top of the poll.
Running mate Karen Magnum, who was secretary of the party, came second on 27 percent.
The pair beat the team of Senator Lynne Woolridge and Sylvia Hayward Harris, an ordained pastor and expert in the field of addictions.
Sen Woolridge got 23 percent of the votes cast, while Ms Hayward Harris, the founder of the Women’s Resource Centre, who took 19 percent of the vote.
Party chairman Thad Hollis said: “I’m delighted. We had a steady stream of voters all day.
“I look forward to working with the new deputies as of first thing tomorrow morning.”
