The Royal Gazette will be a key sponsor of the biggest fund-raising event in Bermuda — the Catlin End-to-End.

The commitment will add financial support to the event and ensure full news coverage of the May 3 spectacle in which participants walk, cycle, swim or otherwise make their way across the Island to assist local charities.

“The Royal Gazette is very proud to be a platinum sponsor of the End-to-End Event this year,” said Jonathan Howes, chief executive officer of The Royal Gazette.

“We are pleased to be involved in this event as it is an opportunity for the whole Island to join together, support multiple charities on island and promote wellness through physical activity.

“The Royal Gazette has been part of Bermuda for over 175 years and we are thrilled to sponsor an event that connects our readers and our community together.”

The Catlin End-to-End is organised by the Bermuda End-to-End Charitable Trust’s volunteer board and is supported by numerous local sponsors. The event usually raises about $250,000 to give to charities each year.

In the past thousands of residents have taken part.

“We are very excited to have the support of The Royal Gazette as a key sponsor,” said Anne Mello, chairman of the Bermuda End-to-End Charitable Trust.

“We believe this sponsorship will give us an enormous boost in both financial support and community awareness at a time when the need for our charitable contributions has never been greater.”

The End-to-End’s mission is to be Bermuda’s premier annual charitable pledge event, committed to promoting the happiness and well-being of our Island community through all-inclusive activities.
