The Corporation of Hamilton has shut down for Christmas — and has apologised for the short notice in doing so.

A statement released by City Hall at 2.36pm today said: “The Corporation of Hamilton, in the spirit of the holiday season, has decided to close the offices of City Hall from 2.30pm Monday, December 23, 2013 and reopen at normal hours on Monday, December 30, 2013.

“All essential services will continue to operate under the holiday schedule. The Corporation apologises for the short notice and wishes everyone a safe and joyful holiday.”
