A Smith’s woman has been charged with slapping her cousin and threatening him with a knife.
Trena Riley, 42, admitted to the charge of common assault, but denied threatening her cousin, Delwin Riley of Hamilton Parish, with a nine-inch blade.
The altercation took place after a dispute arose between the two over a truck parked outside Ms Riley’s residence, prosecutor Larissa Burgess told the court.
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner released Ms Riley on $1,000 bail and adjourned the trial until March 21.
