Police hold public clinics in the west end

Police will be holding three public clinics this week to enable west end residents to get to know officers of the Community Action Team.

According to a police spokesman the clinics will promote “police interacting with area residents to make a difference in their communities”.

The first clinic will take place today at the Maximart Supermarket parking lot on Middle Road near Hog Bay, Sandys. On Wednesday community officers will be stationed at the Esso Tigermarket parking lot on Middle Road in Warwick, and Thursday’s clinic will be held at the Heron Bay Market Place parking lot on Middle Road in Southampton. All clinics will be held between 2pm and 6pm.

The spokesman added: “Members of the public that wish to attend should look for the Bermuda Police Service corporate backdrop and a white E-Z Up ‘pop-up tent’ which will be highly visible at all community clinic locations. In the event of bad weather the Police Mobile Command Vehicle will be utilised.”

Clinics have already been held in the central parishes and further sessions in the east end are also planned.
