Despite a half-century from captain Janeiro Tucker, Bermuda lost their first match in the World Cup Twenty20 Qualifiers in Dubai this morning.
Following impressive wins over Scotland and Denmark, Bermuda were no match for the Netherlands who romped to an eight-wicket win.
Batting first, Bermuda posted 144 for eight in their 20 overs and the Netherlands replied with 145 for two, mainly thanks to an opening partnership of 108 by W. Barresi (45) and S.Myburgh (78 no).
Tucker hit 51 and Lionel Cann 33 were the best of Bermuda’s bats.
