Motorists using the Causeway may face delays on Sunday while essential maintenance work is carried out.Temporary lane closures will be imposed on the two Mabey Bridges situated at the eastern end of the Causeway so that bolts securing deck panels can be replaced. The work is expected to be carried out between 7am and 10am.A Public Works Ministry spokesman said: “During the temporary lane closure all traffic will be diverted onto one of the Mabey Bridges in single file under manual traffic control. The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the motoring public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result.”In the event of bad weather or adverse sea conditions this work will be carried out the following Sunday, October 27, also from 7am until 10am.
