Haycock resigns as director of West Hamilton Holdings
Businessman Gregory Haycock has stepped down as a director of property-to-equities firm West Hamilton Holdings Ltd.The Bermuda Stock Exchange announced yesterday that Mr Haycock had resigned at a board meeting of the company last week.West Hamilton Holdings Ltd, first established in 1923, is a public property and investment company listed on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.Mr Haycock, who has been on the West Hamilton Holdings board for around four years, said he had resigned because Lawrie Bermuda, of which he is chairman, had sold off its shares in the firm to help fund a massive purchase of shares in insurance company BF&M.Mr Haycock added: “I was asked to stay on, but I thought it was appropriate that I stepped down.”West Hamilton Holdings’ portfolio include commercial property, a car park and Bermuda Stock Exchange-listed equities.The board meeting also agreed that the company’s financial year end should be changed from December 31 each year to September 30, with immediate effect.
