Monday’s Royal Gazette was chosen as one of the Top 10 newspaper front pages in the world by the internationally renowned Newseum in Washington, DC.Along with London’s Times, USA Today and seven other American and global newspapers, the Newseum gave The Gazette the nod for both our coverage of Bermudian Joanne Ball-Burgess’ ordeal in the Nairobi shopping mall massacre as well as the design of the front page.The Royal Gazette would like to publicly acknowledge reporter Owain Johnston-Barnes and sub-editor Josh Ball for their sterling work on yesterday’s edition.The Newseum is a 250,000-square-foot museum of news, offering visitors an experience that blends five centuries of news history with up-to-the-second technology and hands-on exhibits.Located at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Sixth Street, N.W., Washington, DC, on America’s Main Street between the White House and the US Capitol, the Newseum is adjacent to the Smithsonian museums on the National Mall.The Newseum features seven levels of galleries, theatres, retail spaces and visitor services.
