A ‘magical event like never before’

Little princesses need to start polishing their tiaras, because the royal event of the year is coming up.Heart and Soul Productions in collaboration with Kids in Action are holding a father/daughter dance called Tiaras and Bow Ties at the end of September.“This will be a first class event,” said Tinee Furbert, dance organiser. “We wanted to bring to Bermuda a father daughter magical event like never before.“We will see Washington House in the City of Hamilton come alive.“There is definitely more emphasis on father son relationships; daughters need their fathers as well.“The father daughter relationship creates a paradigm for a daughter that is remembered and used in life to make decisions whether positive or negative.“With the Tiaras and Bow Ties Event, we are aiming to create and encourage a positive experience.”The dance will be attended by the highest ranks of fairy-tale royalty including Cinderella, Princess Jasmine and The Little Mermaid.“They will perform songs from their favourite movies for all the little princesses in Bermuda,” said Ms Furbert.This child friendly event promotes positive interaction between fathers and daughters (or nieces, granddaughters, goddaughters or other special little lady) with special interactive activities, dancing, and photo opportunities within the evening.All daughters ages of four to 16 years old are welcome.“We are very grateful to the management of Washington Properties for allowing us the use of the site,” said Ms Furbert. “They agree that this is a wonderful event and are pleased that proceeds will benefit the Bermuda Hospitals Charitable Trust ‘Why it Matters Campaign’ and Childwatch.”Tiaras and Bow Ties will have local businesses donating services such as a make-up station, nail painting station, tiara station, balloon station, food station, prizes, giveaways and more.Local appearances include Keya’s Fun Approach Dancers, Mr Magic, DJ Selecta Fray, commentator Craig Simons and other local dancers, performers and guest speakers.The aim of Tiaras and Bow Ties is to provide a child friendly, fun event designed to make our daughters and girls feel like the princesses they truly are; To be a night of celebration and engagement that will impact families in a special way.Tiaras and Bow Ties is on September 28 at Washington House in the City of Hamilton at 6.30pm.Tickets are $65 early bird special if bought before September 1.General admission is $85 per person available from www.bdatix.bm or Kit N’ Caboodle.For more information please contact heartandsoulbda@gmail.com or 704-5636.
