Siese tops in fitted dinghy racing

Challenger II skipper Owen Siese had an impressive day on the water on Sunday, claiming two of the three trophies in fitted dinghy racing in St George’s Harbour.Siese, sailing the Sandys Boat Club’s boat, won the opening race for the ER Williams Cup.Lance Fraser, representing the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club and sailing Elizabeth II, took second place and Mark Soares, sailing for hosts St. George's Dinghy and Sports Club’s, claimed third in Victory IV.Challenger then added the Middleton Shield to their first win of the day, with Victory finishing second. Elizabeth sank, putting paid to their trophy hopes.Victory claimed the Masters Cup in the final race, followed by Elizabeth and Challenger.Contest II withdrew after their towboat broke down on the trip from the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club.
