BA flight cancellation causes headaches for travellers
British Airways passengers due to leave Bermuda last night were forced to make alternative arrangements when the flight was cancelled out of London due to a technical problem.Spokeswoman Sallie Singleton apologised for the inconvenience as efforts continue to book passengers to fly out as soon as possible.“We are aware that BA flights have now become fully booked on Thursday, Friday and Saturday out of Bermuda. From Bermuda now the first available flight to London will be on Sunday,” said Ms Singleton.“We are trying to do the very best we can to get passengers to London. Throughout the day we have been exploring every possible avenue to re-route passengers through the United States or Canada.“However as it is presently the peak season for travelling, flights are also full in those countries flying to the UK and many flights out of Bermuda to the US East Coast or Toronto are fully booked.“We remain fully committed to doing all we can to bring this to a quick resolution for our passengers.”Passengers are advised to call the 24-hour toll free number, which is 1-800-AIRWAYS or go online to ba.com to rebook.
