Hats off to us: School is definitely out for the summer for 48 Saltus Grammar School students who celebrated their graduation this week.The Class of 2013 held its graduation ceremony at the Anglican Cathedral in Hamilton on Thursday. Six students graduated with Distinction, 16 with Honours and 21 with Merit.Headmaster Ted Staunton said: "Saltus Graduate Years Graduations are always the highlight of the school year. The 2013 Graduating Class played a significant role in the overall success of Saltus's 125 year. Their spirit, energy and commitment to all school activities contributed to high morale and achievement throughout the Saltus community."Director of Saltus Graduate Years, Nicole Chichon-De Silva told the graduates: “The people who make a difference in your life aren’t the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They’re the ones who care.”Students will be heading off to universities in Europe, the US and Canada, to take degrees in a range of subjects from actuarial science to zoology.
