First Atlantic Commerce adds ‘card-not-present’ fraud protection
International online payment service provider First Atlantic Commerce (FAC) announced today they have joined forces with Kount, a risk management and anti-fraud service.In a press release announcing the new partnership, the Bermuda-based company said they had gone into the partnership to protect merchants against card-not-present fraud.FAC is headquartered in Bermuda and is global in reach, with clients across Europe, Mauritius and the Latin American Caribbean Region. Chief executive officer Chris Burns said in the release: “We researched and considered all of the top-level suppliers in this space to find the right solution for our merchants. Kount was the obvious choice.” He said working with Kount will mean their clients will increase sales, and significantly reduce chargebacks and fraudulent transactions.Kount CEO Brad Wiskirchen said: “Fraud is a global problem and Kount looks to partner with industry leading companies like First Atlantic Commerce to help mitigate fraud all over the world.”The press release also stated: ”Online fraud continues to increase in size, sophistication and speed, which means that an all-in-one fraud management system is crucial for online merchants to not only detect fraudulent transactions, but to reduce decline rates on suspicion of fraud.” It called Kount’s service “a proactive, strategic approach to fraud management that helps customers prevent fraud before it occurs.”They added: “Kount provides merchants with a turnkey, flexible, end-to-end solution that reduces fraud without jeopardizing sales. The company manages transactions from over 200 countries and evaluates orders in 180 different currencies.” said FAC.
