A beach party, a rugby dinner and more golf than you can shake a stick at
Hi Kids!Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! Mine had its ups and downs. There's nothing like a really good downpour to let you know that you have a leak in your roof. On the plus side, a temporary indoor swimming pool is kinda fun. Anyway, here are the latest BDA events:* Charlar, the Spanish Club, presents their second Noche de Cine (Night of Cinema) tonight at 6pm in the Queen Elizabeth Hall at Bermuda High School for Girls on Richmond Road. The chosen film is the Spanish-French drama Todo Sobre Mi Madre (All About My Mother), rated R with English subtitles. For entry to the film, a $5 donation is suggested, with proceeds going to Bermuda High School for Girls. For more information, contact charlarbda@gmail.com.* To mark the visit of Gonzalo from Chakana Wines, Discovery Wines we will be throwing an Asado, or Argentine BBQ, in his honour on Thursday, June 28. This will be at 7pm at Mad Hatters with four courses of Argentine food and wines from Chakana. If you were at home, this would be followed by a French translation but I can't be bothered, sorry.* The Bermuda Rugby Football Union Annual Dinner for 2012 will be at 7pm on Saturday, June 30 at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess. The dinner is in support of the current youth, children and schools initiatives started by the BRFU in the past year or so and there will also be an auction of rugby memorabilia to raise further funds. There are three different options and two different events on offer. First of all is the Captain's Choice Tournament, where you can choose an 8am or 1pm shotgun start. The afternoon event is restricted to teams of three registered entrants as one MIRRORS young person will be included per team.
