The Royal Gazette/BSX Index remained unchanged on 1,542.73 as only one stock traded.

Ascendant Group Ltd, the parent company of electricity utility Belco closed unchanged on $30.25 as 1,000 shares changed hands.

The US-listed shares of Butterfield Bank gained 53 cents, or nearly 3 per cent, to close on $18.33 on the New York Stock Exchange. Butterfield last traded on the BSX at $19.

The BSX Insurance Index fell 12.8 points, or 1.09 per cent, to close on 1,163.8.

For the week, the index fell 0.6 of a point, with Argus Group Ltd the only stock to change value, down 1.4 per cent.
