Suzuki Strings to perform at City Hall and primary schools
The Bermuda School of Music Suzuki Strings tour group will perform on the steps of City Hall tomorrow.The event is part of a “mini-tour” which also includes performances at four primary schools.The purpose is to showcase the 37-strong group of student musicians as a prelude to performances in Charlotte, North Carolina in October.The students range in age from six to 15, and play the violin, viola and cello.The mini-tour will also see the group take the stage at Victor Scott Primary at 9am, Somersfield Academy at 9.40am, Purvis Primary at 1.15pm, and Dalton E Tucker Primary at 2pm.“Performances will feature classical music favourites, fiddle tunes such as ‘Cripple Creek’, Beatles originals, and ‘Bermuda Is Another World’,” BSM Suzuki Strings development coordinator Chas Arnold said. “The performance will incorporate movement and sound an event which is sure to delight.”
