Operators are working to remove a crane from a ditch in Smith's.An area of Paynters Road along South Shore has since been closed to traffic.Said a Police spokesman: “Apparently a crane from D & J Construction was carrying out some work in the area, and it fell into a ditch which has made it necessary for another crane needed to pull it out. The crane from Island Construction will have to set up in the road, so no traffic would be able to pass that location.“The Area to Avoid is South Shore Road and Paynters Road as those roads will be closed to allow the crane to operate.”
