A new luxury jeweller has officially opened its doors in St George’s.Davidrose Jewelry, which has previous been only available online has opened their flagship boutique on Water Street in the East End.Owned by Bermudian David Zuill and his fiancee Avrel Rose Fernandes, the boutique offers “conscious” luxury jewellery incorporating diamonds, gemstones and precious metals and the new sleek modern space treats customers with the view of the water.“The concept of our new space is bringing a luxurious experience into St George’s,” said Ms Fernandes. “Clients can expect a warm, pet- friendly environment where we offer one-of-a-kind ready to wear fine jewellery (18K gold) handcrafted in our studio in Toronto or our silver collection designed by us and handcrafted in Italy.”Focusing on handcrafted bridal and statement pieces, the company has gained a loyal following of international clientele from Canada, US and Bermuda, as well as the Middle East and India. Many of their clients are repeat customers.Even though the shop wasn’t officially open, holiday business was good for Davidrose.“Christmas sales were amazing, we have sold out of a quite a few piece in four days,” she said. “Our silver black rhodium collection and rose gold pieces were a big hit.”The jewellers help their clients conceptualise their ideas, design the piece, and then Mr Zuill, who has a background in computer sciences, creates a 3-D rendition of it.At the end of January, Davidrose will be launching their platinum bridal collection.“We specialise in custom work (bridal or fashion) and welcome the opportunity to make our clients concepts a reality,” said Ms Fernandes. “We encourage private appointments for all custom work so we can give the client the attention they deserve.”The shop has a new phone number and can be reached at 441-293-ROSE (7673).
