Friday 14th December 2012Dear Sir,I read with great interest, DJLT’s column on Page 46 in today’s (Friday, December 14) Royal Gazette, ‘Do you have a union mentality’.With your newspaper filled with political fluff as we go to the polls in 3 days time, (come on, if you don’t know who to vote for by now, you must be brain dead), I found this article to be relevant, important for the future of Bermuda and right on the button).I used to be anti union. Then I spent three years working in Paris, France and the experience totally changed my mind. We definitely need unions. We just don’t need unions that are blotted bullies though, unions who have the power to reinstate drunken ferry pilots or any of the other asinine decisions brought to you by a union closest to us.Unions should be there to protect the workers when the worker is in the right, not when he is in the wrong. But listen, just read DJLT’s article. He says it better.If I may pass on a word to DJLT please; watch out, the blotted bully could be foaming at the mouth and in your face if it reads your article.
