Butterfield gains ground in New York

Fifteen hundred shares of Ascendant Group Ltd traded in Bermuda Stock Exchange traded.
However, the owner of electricity utility Belco remained unchanged on $30.25.
Ascendant was the only stock to trade as The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed unchanged on 1,543.33.
Butterfield Bank’s US-listed shares gained ground, climbing eight cents, or 0.44 per cent, to close on $18.42 on the New York Stock Exchange.
Buterfield last traded at $19 on the BSX.
The BSX Insurance Index fell 38.58 points, or 2.94 per cent, to close on 1,272.8.
