Police are warning the public to lock their windows and secure air conditioning units after several burglaries.A Police spokesman said: “Recently there have been reported burglaries where the culprit or culprits apparently gained entry by tampering with or removing window air conditioning units.“We also continue to recommend that all residents secure their valuables out of sight. In addition, take pictures and record serial numbers of all personal property, especially electronic equipment and jewellery — so that if they are stolen and later recovered, there is an accurate way of identifying them.”Members of the public are encouraged to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods to the police by calling 295-0011.
