A Devonshire man caught with cannabis at the Mid-Atlantic Boat Club was fined for the offence.Magistrates’ Court heard that at around 8.30pm on July 7, police approached 43-year-old Larry Allen at the Devonshire club and saw him reach into his pocket, pull out an object and throw it over a nearby wall. The officers questioned Allen, and noticed that he smelled of cannabis.A search revealed a plastic twist containing what was later shown to be 1.27g of cannabis.Appearing in court on Friday, Allen admitted having the drug. Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo fined him $800.
