Her life was a blessing to us
At a time when many would be broken, he was getting stronger. At a time when many would be cursing, he was rejoicing. At a time when many would be sad, he was standing in the presence of his maker.
A husband was giving God the glory for accepting his wife home to his heavenly arms.
There is much that will be said and written about her over the next few days, weeks, months and years. There will be hundreds who will speak about her in the most loving of terms. There will even be those who will feel frozen and numb without her.
She remained among us to set an example to us of what perfect, unconditional love should and must be. Her heart gave us what we needed to know how we should view and treat each other.
There is no doubt in our hearts, minds and souls that her election was sure and that, as we go about out daily duties, she is right here with us.
As such, we must honour her not solely at her packed homegoing service; we must honour her lifelong sacrifices with a kind word and deed towards each other each and every day.
Many will remember her as the quiet young lady who entered Berkeley Institute in the 1980s; a sweet, well-mannered person from Francis Patton.
Never a rule-breaker, never a troublemaker. Never one to complain about her challenges to anyone.
Many will remember her as the one whom anyone and everyone could turn to in their need of counselling.
Many will remember the voice of reason in sometimes heated FB debates on religion or social issues.
Many will remember her as a churchgoing, God-fearing woman who was never ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
One special person will remember her as the woman blessed to give her birth
One special person will remember her as the woman blessed to bring him to Christ before bringing him to the altar.
One thing is for sure: no one will forget the positive impact that she has made on her Island and on all she considered as her brothers and sisters.
Thank you for sharing your life and love with us. We love you and will strive to see you in the choir inside of Zion Gates alongside Rodney “Nathaniel Stone” Trott and many others.
