Gunshots were fired in Sandys early yesterday morning.A Police spokesman said officers were called to the area of Somerset Road and Ledgelets Lane around 12.15am.“Upon police arrival, it was forensically confirmed that gunshots were discharged in that area, however there were no reported injuries.“The area was secured and an active investigation has commenced into this confirmed firearm incident,” he explained.Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously to telephone 295-0011 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline, 800-8477.
