Police are investigating reports of gunshots in Sandys.A Police Spokesman said: "Police responded to reports of gun shots being fired in the area of Somerset Road in Sandy around 12.15am on Thursday, October 25."Upon police arrival it was forensically confirmed that gun shots were discharged in that area, however there were no reported injuries."The area was secured and an active investigation has commenced into this confirmed firearm incident."Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone that may have seen persons acting suspiciously in the area of Somerset Road and Ledgelets Lane to contact police on 295-0011 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.
