TECH TIP OF THE WEEK
Q: What is wireless signal strength?A: When attempting to connect to a wireless network, you will see all available networks within range and the strength of each. This data is displayed using the icon that looks like an ascending bar chart or climbing staircase. The number of bars displayed represents the strength of the signal being omitted by each network within range. The more bars that appear in green, the better the signal strength.Networks with strong signal strengths are generally closer in proximity to you and all may not be available for your use. Secure wireless networks are password protected and if you attempt to connect to one, you will be prompted to enter a password before gaining access.ALWAYS secure your wireless home network.
