Butterfield share climb on BSX

Shares of Butterfield Bank improved by $1.50, or 8.6 per cent, to $19 after 2,800 changed hands on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.
On the New York Stock Exchange, the bank’s shares were up $1.13, or 6.57 per cent, at $18.34.
On the local exchange there was also trading in 1,800 shares of Ascendant Group, but with no change to the closing price of $30.25.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was up 67.46 points, or 4.57 per cent, at 1,543.33, while the BSX Insurance Index was up 54.5 points, or 4.34 per cent, at 1,311.38.
