CultureFest Unity in the Community, will take place at the Royal Naval Dockyard next month.The event will showcase local traditions and entertainment on September 29 and 30.A 10k walk for men and their children will begin at 10am on Saturday, September 29 outside the Rockaway Ferry parking area.Said a spokesperson: “We have an opportunity to focus on fatherhood, parenting and the importance of family.“Our community needs to be far more understanding of one another whilst being equally as firm, and as traditional beneficiaries of male privilege, fathers are at the forefront of this threshold.“We have the power to choose wisdom or foolishness as we influence our loved ones, the strength to protect the less fortunate and the most vulnerable, along with the permission to lead our families, institutions and neighborhoods into the future.“We must succeed, no matter how weak we may feel at times.
