Bascome and Brown team up as Cup coaches
Top coaches Andrew Bascome and Dennis Brown have been put in charge of Bermuda's upcoming Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Digicel Caribbean Cup commitment.Bermuda Football Association (BFA) today announced that the pair will initially join the national pool of coaches with specific responsibility for the CFU Digicel Caribbean Cup to be held in Haiti next month.Chairman of the BFA's player development committee Mark Wade said: “The BFA are excited about the appointment of Andrew Bascome and Dennis Brown as we look to continually improve internationally and meet our objective of being one of the elite nations within the CFU.“This is the first assignment for Andrew Bascome as senior coach, his local record speaks for itself. Both Andrew and Dennis played together on the national team and have been reunited as coaches.”Bascome and Brown will be assisted by the current pool of national academy coaches.Last week the BFA announced former assistant national coach Richard Todd as the national academy's new director.Bermuda’s group at the upcoming Digicel Caribbean Cup includes St Martin (French), Puerto Rico and hosts Haiti.Only the top two teams from the group will advance to the next stage of the competition.
