Police seized dozens of cannabis plants in Smith’s, police said yesterday.According to a police spokesman, officers acting on information received discovered approximately cannabis 40 plants concealed by bush and trees in an area of land around 15 to 20ft from the road side.While the spokesman would not disclose the location of the plants or when they were found, but said that they have subsequently been uprooted and confiscated by officers.“Police would like to speak with anyone who may have knowledge of who is responsible for the cultivation of these plants,” the spokesman said.“Anyone with any information should contact police on 295-0011, or the confidential CrimeStoppers hotline at 800-8477.”
