Police found a 46-year-old man lying injured on the ground after an alleged assault in the Horseshoe Road/Horseshoe Lane area of Southampton.A spokesman said officers attended the scene around 10.55pm on Thursday.They found the injured man, who is from Southampton.“At last check, the victim was being treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for his injuries, which are not considered life threatening,” he said.“Inquiries into this incident are ongoing and any witnesses or anyone with any information, particularly anyone who may have been in the Horseshoe Road, Southampton area around the time of the alleged assault, is encouraged to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.”
