Miss Bermuda Rochelle Minors is preparing herself for the next round of completion in the Miss World Pageant.While Ms Minors and her fellow contestants have spent several days touring China, this week they will compete in the beach body competition.Her mother Rosalyn said: “She’s getting ready right now for the beach body competition and she’s training more for her talent portion.“She’s loving it there. Very busy, certainly, but she’s loving it. She’s embracing the experience, and she seems to be enjoying it.“Things are going to get harder, but she seems to be taking it in stride. She doesn’t seem to be very stressed. She’s praying on, and leaving it in God’s hands. We just hope that things continue to go as well as they already have.”So far, Miss Minors has competed in the first rounds of the talent and catwalk competitions, progressing to the next level in both categories.“Everything she has done so far, she has progressed to the next level. She’s doing what she said she would do,” Mrs Minors said.“I’ve been telling her that she’s making everyone here very proud, and that the whole of Bermuda supports her.”Mrs Minors said that she and her husband Marshall will be flying on August 10 to China to see their daughter, arriving in Beijing on the 12th. For now, she said Mr Minors and their daughter have been in constant contact via BlackBerry messenger.Miss Bermuda organiser Milika Trott-Seymour said she has also been speaking with Miss Minors every day, and that she is having a great time.The contestants toured Shanghai last week and visited Changshu and the village of Sujiajian Guli Fam over the weekend.While she said it’s hard to tell exactly what the judges are looking for, she said Miss Minor’s early success is a good sign.“It’s really hard to tell what the judges are looking for in any given year, but she’s made a great start, being in the quarter finals in the catwalk competition and finals for talent,” she said.“Bermuda is one of the eleven countries that have done well in both competitions so far, so I’m very happy.
