Marine Police boats taken ashore for upgrades will be back in action in time for the Cup Match holiday, the service has reported.Several vessels can be seen high and dry at an East End boatyard off St David’s Road. The upgrades come at a time of change for the service, as a new location for a Marine Unit office is still being sought in tandem with the Department of Public Lands and Buildings.Their present Hamilton Harbour headquarters at Barr’s Bay Park are expected to be vacated in September. Now in their third summer of partnership, the Marine Unit and members of the Bermuda Regiment ran patrols over the weekend at locations around the Island, a spokesman said.
