Lawyer elected as Common Councillor

Lawyer Elizabeth Christopher has become a Common Councillor for the town of St George after winning a by-election held yesterday.Ms Christopher soundly defeated businessman Alfonso Harris for the vacant seat by a vote of 131 to 53.
