Mussenden elected CFU second vice-president
Bermuda Football Association president Larry Mussenden was elected as the second vice-president of the Caribbean Football Union yesterday.Mussenden was joined in Budapest, Hungary for the series of Congresses by BFA secretary David Sabir and treasurer Andrew Griffith.Elected by secret ballot, Mussenden received 16 votes in the second round after there was no clear winner after the first stage of voting.The new CFU executive which will take over from the normalisation committee set up in the wake of the cash for votes scandal involving former Concacaf chief Jack Warner.Gordan Derrick, of Antigua, was voted in as new CFU president, with Cheney Joseph, of Guyana, the second vice-president.St Lucia’s Lyndon Cooper was elected third vice-president and Cayman Islands’ Canover Watson the fourth vice-president.
