Digicel Bermuda is ending its popular $45 Premium unlimited data plan.The data plan - for $45 a month with no overages - will no longer be offered after June 1.“A large portion of our customers are on the $45 Premium Data plan which is why we want to give our customers ample notice so that they have time to extend their agreements with the $45 premium data plan if they so desire,” a Digicel spokesman said yesterday.New customers may still sign up for the $45 premium data plan if they wish from now until May 31, but with agreements ending on June 2014.Existing customers not in an agreement can request for their premium plan to be extended by entering into a new agreement by May 31, and the contracts will be able to go on until June 2014.And existing customers currently in agreements may extend their agreements with premium data until June 2014 by contacting customer care or visiting Digicel retail stores before May 31.The spokesman said Digicel could not disclose the details of its new plans but did say “they are being created with our customer’s needs in mind”.
