Today is the last day to view work by Masterworks’ latest artist-in-residence, Karin Leff.The American artist has worked as a professional faux finisher and a self-taught artist for the last 40 years. Her paintings range from miniatures to large commissioned projects that encompass walls, wood, canvas, paper and jewellery. Her work is exhibited in the collections of a number of museums including the American Folk Art Museum, the Fenimore Museum, and the Farmer’s Museum, all in New York.“While in Bermuda I have immersed myself in the natural beauty of the Island while attempting to capture it through acrylic paintings and painted objects such as boxes, bracelets, and found natural objects,” she said. “In each of my Bermuda paintings, I have combined an appreciation for both natural and architectural subjects. I strive to capture for the viewer a sense of place whether real or imagined.”Museum admission is $5 for non-members, and is free for members and children under 12-years-old.
