Bermuda chalked up its first win at the ICC World Twenty20 qualifiers after thrashing Papua New Guinea by five wickets in Dubai today.Spinner Dion Stovell (two for 21) and seamer Sammy Robinson (two for 27 claimed two wickets each as Papua New Guinea were restricted to 155 for six after electing to bat.Janeiro Tucker than blasted an unbeaten 52 that included five sixes and a boundary from just 33 deliveries.Bermuda required 16 runs for victory off the final over which was achieved as Tucker smashed three successive sixes off seamer Rarva Dikana to end the game in a flurry with three balls to spare.Stovell (31) and skipper David Hemp (30) also made useful contributions as Bermuda put an end to a five game losing streak that dashed all hopes of World Twenty20 qualification.Middle order bat Vani Morea (49 not out) and wicketkeeper turned bowler Tony Ura (1-12) were the standouts for Papua New Guinea.Bermuda face Group A leaders Afghanistan in their final group match tomorrow.
