As residents sheltered in place on the first day of Bermuda’s lockdown measures in the battle against Covid-19, The Royal Gazette captured quiet scenes at various island spots.
City roads on strips like Front Street and Church Street were empty, as were beaches, parks and sports grounds.
Meanwhile, shoppers queued at supermarkets where strict social distancing policies were in place.
Police officers and Royal Bermuda Regiment soldiers carried out checks when residents left their homes for essential tasks only.
