Severe weather warning issued
Gale force winds are forecast to hit the Island tomorrow.The Bermuda Weather Service has issued a gale warning for Saturday through to Sunday evening.It says: “High pressure brings mainly fair and dry conditions for today. Winds increase tonight, with gales and storm force gusts Saturday morning as a warm and then cold front passes.“The fronts bring rain, showers, isolated thunderstorms, and potentially severe weather to the area through early Sunday. Showers decrease Sunday while gales remain until late Sunday night.”The BWS detailed forecast says:Saturday Cloudy, showery rain and isolated thunder, decreasing late night ... Winds southerly strong gusts to gale force, soon increasing strong to gale force gusts to storm force, veering southwesterly in the evening, gusts easing to gale force overnight ... High near 21°C/70°F.Sunday Sunny breaks, a few showers mainly in the morning ... Winds west-southwesterly strong to gale force gusts to gale force, increasing west-northwesterly strong to gale force around midday, decreasing northwesterly strong to gale force in the afternoon, decreasing strong late night ... Low near 12°C/54°F, high near 19°C/66°F.
