This week the Bermuda Philatelic Bureau is releasing a new series of stamps to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.The series of six stamps, which are to be released tomorrow, are adorned with official and informal photographs of Queen Elizabeth II, one from each decade of her reign.On February 6, the Queen celebrated 60 years on the throne, a milestone only previously reached by Queen Victoria.The commemorative stamps are available in values of $0.10, $0.35, $0.70, $0.85, $1.10 and $1.25, and can be purchased. Official first-day covers with liners cost $6, while Official fired day covers souvenir sheet with liners cost $4.Souvenir sheets will sell for $2.50 and Souvenir sheetlets cost $4.35. Orders can be prepaid for collection of mailing on the day of issue at the General Post Office or any sub-Post office.The next stamp issue will commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the Postal Service, and be released on April 18.
