Digicel reimburses customers over data problems

Digicel said it has credited customer accounts for data outages experienced this week.Some customers were affected by network issues on Monday until about 1.30pm.Data services and voice calls were affected by intermittent access.A Digicel spokesman said the credit was to compensate for the data issue.“The amount of the credit is equivalent to the prorated cost of data for the duration of the data issue,” Digicel said.“This will vary from customer to customer based upon the particular plan each customer was using at the time. Postpaid customers will notice the credit on next month’s bill, while prepaid customers will see the credit when they check their balance after receiving the notification.”
