Christmas spell. Early in December Karen and I put up our Christmas tree and decorated it with ornaments, both old and new. How a room can change when the centre of focus becomes a sparkling, shining beacon of hope and changes the mood of all who enter that room. Christmas is one time when memories flood into your mind of your childhood, early adulthood and having small children of your own to the time when you are most fortunate to have grandchildren. All of these memories come together and allow you to focus on the present and be thankful for all your blessings and most particularly for the family and close friends that you hold dear.
