Police respond to report of man being threatened

Police were called to Hog Bay in Sandys on Thursday after reports of trouble close to Arnold’s Maximart supermarket, according to a customer. The customer told The Royal Gazette they were in the store when a young man ran in at about 9pm claiming he’d been threatened. The customer, who asked not to be named, said police cars attended the scene and officers spoke to the manager on duty at the store.“A young man ran in holding himself and saying they threatened to shoot him. He looked about 18. Customers were frightened.”Maximart duty manager Jim Cobak said yesterday he was unable to provide any information as a different manager was working at the time.“I don’t have any notes [on it]. I’m not sure of all the details. I wouldn’t want to elaborate.”A police spokesman said he was not aware of “anything similar” being reported to police.
